What age should obedience training begin?
Training can begin as soon as a puppy comes home, using age-appropriate expectations and short, thoughtful practice. Adult and senior dogs can also learn new skills; the plan should match the individual dog’s physical comfort, experience, and motivation.
Can obedience training help with leash pulling or poor recall?
Yes. Loose-leash walking, engagement, and recall are common private-lesson goals. Reliability develops gradually through clear foundations, consistent practice, and carefully increased distractions.
What if my dog is reactive, fearful, or aggressive?
