Insight K9 Solutions LLC (“Insight K9,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides private dog-training services and related website, booking, client, and educational tools. These Terms explain the general rules for using those services.
An intake form, waiver, care authorization, or other service-specific agreement that you expressly accept may contain additional terms and controls only for that service. Confirmations, estimates, and invoices control administrative details such as dates, scope, and price but do not otherwise amend these Terms.
Agreement and scope
These Terms describe the permitted use of insightk9solutions.com, our online tools, and the general conditions that may apply to Insight K9 services. They may be presented or incorporated into a booking confirmation, intake form, waiver, care authorization, or other service agreement.
You agree to these Terms when you expressly accept them electronically or in writing, or when a service-specific agreement you accept incorporates them. Merely visiting this page or submitting an unconfirmed request does not by itself confirm a service or reserve availability.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into an agreement, or act through a parent or legal guardian. Electronic acceptance, including selecting an initially unchecked agreement checkbox, may be treated as your signature and agreement to the version presented at that time. We may retain the acceptance date, policy version, and text presented with the related booking or request. You may print or save these Terms at any time.
Services and the training relationship
Insight K9 offers private dog training and may offer puppy training, obedience, behavior modification, Board & Train, service-dog training, sport and tracking, odor detection, protection-related training, and other specialized services described on our website or in a written proposal. Our current regular training is provided one-on-one; group classes and preset training packages are not part of that regular offering.
Availability, locations, trainers, schedules, program details, and suitability requirements may change. We may evaluate whether a requested service is appropriate for the dog, client, training goals, available resources, and safety conditions before accepting or continuing service.
Dog training is not veterinary care, medical treatment, legal advice, or a government certification service. Health concerns should be discussed with a licensed veterinarian, and clients remain responsible for complying with applicable animal-control, licensing, access, housing, and public-safety laws.
Service-dog training does not itself create legal service-animal status or guarantee public-access rights. Any program-completion record describes training provided; it is not government certification. Emotional support, comfort, companionship, or crime deterrence alone do not qualify as trained disability-related work or tasks. A client must not represent a dog in training as a fully trained service animal unless the dog and handler meet applicable legal requirements.
When a service-dog inquiry or requested task reveals or concerns a handler’s health, disability, accommodation, or functional need, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains the limited purposes for which that information is handled and the rights available under Washington law.
Booking, accounts, and accurate information
A standard appointment is confirmed when Insight K9 Connect or Insight K9 sends a booking confirmation. A Board & Train date submission is only a request: it requires separate staff review and does not hold capacity before approval. Other inquiries are not confirmed services unless we clearly accept them in writing.
You agree to provide current and accurate contact, dog, health, behavior, scheduling, and payment information. You are responsible for reviewing confirmations and promptly telling us about an error or change.
If you create an account, you are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.
Requested Board & Train dates remain subject to suitability, trainer, and capacity review until you receive written approval from Insight K9.
Appointments, cancellations, rescheduling, and no-shows
Appointments must be scheduled in advance. Unless a different written policy is presented for a particular service, please cancel or request rescheduling at least 24 hours before the appointment.
A cancellation made within 24 hours may be subject to a fee, and a no-show may be charged the full scheduled service rate, but only when the applicable amount or rate was disclosed before confirmation. Rescheduling within 24 hours is subject to a fee only when that policy was disclosed before confirmation. A different notice period or fee applies only when it was also disclosed before confirmation or expressly accepted in a service-specific agreement.
If a late-arrival policy applies to a particular service, it will be communicated in the booking flow, confirmation, or written agreement. If Insight K9 must cancel, we will work with you to reschedule; if we cannot provide a paid service, amounts paid for the unprovided service will be transferred or refunded as appropriate.
Fees, invoices, payments, tips, and refunds
Prices and payment timing are shown in the booking flow, estimate, confirmation, invoice, or service-specific agreement. You agree to pay authorized charges, applicable taxes, and approved added-service or continued-care charges by the stated due date.
Private-session payment timing may vary by service and booking method. Under the current Board & Train request workflow, the stay is reviewed and approved first and the client is invoiced after pickup, unless a written confirmation or agreement states otherwise.
Tips are voluntary and do not change the services owed. Refund eligibility depends on the service-specific terms, work already performed, amounts paid, the circumstances, and applicable law. Requests involving unused prepaid services, overpayments, duplicate charges, or an interrupted service will be reviewed using those factors.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us promptly so we can review it. Nothing in these Terms limits a consumer right or payment-dispute right that cannot lawfully be waived.
Board & Train requests, approval, and care terms
Board & Train is capacity-limited and request-based. Requested dates do not hold space until staff review is complete and Insight K9 provides approval. If approved space is unavailable, we may offer alternate dates or place the request on a waitlist.
Pricing is based on the daily rate and the approved occupied days shown before the stay begins in the approval confirmation, estimate, or service-specific agreement. An occupied day means each calendar date from the approved drop-off date through the approved pickup date, inclusive. Drop-off and pickup must occur within the approved dates and time windows. Extensions, shortened stays, early pickup, or other changes require staff approval. Any resulting charge must be disclosed and accepted before the change when reasonably practicable.
A separate intake form, care authorization, and waiver may govern food, medications, vaccination or parasite requirements, personal items, veterinary care, emergency contacts, transportation, pickup authority, and other stay-specific matters. Those documents control for those subjects. While a dog is in accepted custody, Insight K9 will provide care required by applicable Washington law and the accepted care agreement, including necessary food, water, shelter, rest, sanitation, space, and necessary medical attention.
If a dog is not picked up as agreed, reasonable continued-care charges disclosed in the applicable care agreement may accrue while Insight K9 attempts to contact the owner and arrange pickup. Any dog considered abandoned will be handled only through the notice and disposition process required by applicable Washington law; these Terms do not authorize immediate forfeiture, sale, or rehoming by Insight K9.
Client responsibilities
You represent that you are the dog’s owner or are authorized by the owner to request services and make relevant care and training decisions. You agree to:
- Provide complete and accurate information about the dog, household, goals, and known risks.
- Use secure, properly fitted equipment and follow reasonable safety and handling instructions.
- Supervise the dog and minors when responsibility has not been transferred to Insight K9.
- Practice assigned skills consistently and use training guidance responsibly.
- Keep contact and emergency-contact information current.
- Comply with applicable laws and prevent unsafe or unauthorized use of specialized training.
While the dog is in your custody or control, you remain responsible for its behavior and resulting injury or damage. Responsibility after custody is transferred to Insight K9 is governed by the applicable care agreement and law.
Health, behavior, bite-history, and safety disclosures
Before service, and whenever circumstances change, you must disclose information that could affect safety or care. This includes known bites or attempted bites, aggression, reactivity, escape behavior, resource guarding, contagious illness, parasites, injuries, activity restrictions, medications, allergies, reproductive or heat status when relevant, veterinary recommendations, and any dangerous-dog or potentially-dangerous-dog designation, animal-control order, confinement requirement, muzzle requirement, or related restriction.
Insight K9 may request vaccination or health records, veterinary clearance, or other information reasonably related to the requested service. A dog showing signs of illness or presenting an undisclosed or unmanageable risk may be separated, rescheduled, referred for veterinary evaluation, or removed from a program.
Medication administration and emergency veterinary authority must be agreed to in writing when applicable. Prescription medication must be prescribed by a licensed veterinarian, supplied by the owner in its original labeled container when reasonably available, and accompanied by the prescription instructions. Insight K9 does not diagnose, prescribe, or independently change a medication or dose. The owner is responsible for authorized veterinary and related costs unless a written agreement states otherwise.
Safety and the right to refuse, pause, or end service
Insight K9 may refuse, pause, reschedule, modify, or end service when reasonably necessary for the safety or welfare of a dog, client, trainer, other person, or property; when material information was withheld or inaccurate; when required information or payment is missing; or when the requested work is unlawful, outside our scope, or not reasonably appropriate.
We may use reasonable management steps to prevent injury, escape, or property damage. Material training tools and methods will be discussed during intake or in the service agreement when appropriate, particularly for behavior modification, protection work, specialized training, and Board & Train. If a program ends early, fees and any refund or remaining balance will be determined under the applicable service agreement, work already performed, costs incurred, and applicable law.
Protection, behavior, or specialized training does not remove a legal designation, animal-control order, registration, insurance, enclosure, leash, muzzle, or other handling requirement. Insight K9 may require proof that applicable requirements can be met or may decline the service.
Training outcomes and no guarantees
Dogs are living animals, and outcomes depend on genetics, prior learning, health, stress, environment, owner participation, consistency, timing, management, and other factors outside any trainer’s control. Insight K9 does not guarantee a specific result, timeline, permanent behavior change, off-leash reliability, competition result, public-access outcome, service-dog suitability, detection performance, or protection-work capability.
Training may reduce risk but cannot eliminate every possibility of a bite, escape, injury, regression, or unwanted behavior. Clients are responsible for continuing appropriate practice and management after and between sessions. Service-dog, detection, sport, and protection-related training does not guarantee continuing suitability, reliability in every setting, legal access, or certification by a public authority.
Our role is to evaluate, teach, coach, and provide a practical plan. The client’s follow-through, safe management, and prompt disclosure of changes are essential parts of the training relationship.
Inherent risks and additional agreements
Dog training and animal care involve inherent risks, including bites, scratches, falls, escape, property damage, illness, injury, reactions to environments or equipment, and unpredictable behavior by animals or people. You agree to follow safety instructions and acknowledge that these risks cannot be eliminated completely.
Insight K9 may require a separate informed-consent, assumption-of-risk, custody, transportation, veterinary, or service-specific waiver before providing certain services. Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or another obligation that cannot lawfully be waived.
Website, Insight K9 Connect, and client tools
Insight K9 Connect is the client-facing name for our booking, appointment, customer, and related account tools. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and cannot guarantee that every online function will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
You may not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with security or availability, introduce malicious code, scrape protected account information, impersonate another person, or use the website or portals for unlawful purposes. Client and trainer portals may be used only by authorized users for their intended business purpose.
Educational and K9 Health content
Training Guides, K9 Vitals, emergency-care guides, body-condition tools, pain or wellness scales, hydration information, and other website resources are educational only. They are not veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for an examination by a licensed veterinarian.
Use judgment appropriate to the situation. If a dog may be sick, injured, poisoned, in severe pain, having trouble breathing, or experiencing another emergency, contact a veterinarian or emergency veterinary facility promptly and do not delay care because of website content.
Privacy, communications, and third-party services
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information. Our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes Washington-specific practices and rights for consumer health data that may arise in service-dog and handler-related communications.
If you provide a mobile number and consent where required, we may send transactional text messages about inquiries, accounts, confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, payments, and active services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. For help, call (253) 374-5346 or email Ryan@InsightK9Solutions.com. Consent to promotional texts is not a condition of purchase. Opting out of text messages does not cancel an appointment or another active obligation.
We may use third-party providers for hosting, booking, communications, analytics, maps, accessibility, invoicing, and payments. Their services may be governed by additional terms and privacy notices. Insight K9 is not responsible for a third party’s independent service or content, except as required by law.
Intellectual property and permitted use
The Insight K9 name, branding, website design, original text, training materials, handouts, graphics, videos, tools, and other original content are owned by or licensed to Insight K9 and are protected by applicable law. You may use materials provided to you for personal, noncommercial training purposes and may share them with household members helping with your dog. You may not sell, publish, broadly distribute, or commercially use the materials to train third parties without written permission.
You retain ownership of content you provide. You authorize Insight K9 to use that content as reasonably necessary to evaluate requests, provide services, maintain records, and operate the client tools. We will obtain your permission, or act at your direction, before using private client photos, videos, or testimonials publicly for marketing.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website, online tools, and educational materials are provided “as available” without a promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every dog or circumstance.
Insight K9 is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or services when such damages were not reasonably foreseeable or were caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. Any responsibility for direct loss will be determined under applicable law and any valid service-specific agreement.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or injury or loss for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limits, so a limitation applies only to the extent permitted.
General provisions and changes
Events outside reasonable control
Insight K9 is not responsible for delay or inability to perform caused by severe weather, unsafe travel, utility or technology failures, illness, emergencies, government action, natural disaster, or another event outside reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate and reschedule when practical.
Washington law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, the parties should make a good-faith effort to resolve the concern directly. Any claim must be brought in a court having proper jurisdiction and venue under applicable law.
Entire agreement and order of terms
These Terms and any intake form, waiver, care authorization, or other service-specific agreement you expressly accept form the agreement for the affected service. A service-specific agreement controls only for that service if it conflicts with these general Terms. Confirmations, estimates, and invoices control administrative details such as dates, scope, and price but do not otherwise amend these Terms.
Severability, waiver, and assignment
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our written consent; Insight K9 may assign these Terms as part of a lawful business transfer.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as our services, systems, or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable manner and apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.
